Denmark Calls for More Active Business with Bulgaria

Especially for the needs of Danish tourists, which have increased with 65 %, the sea capital of Bulgaria Varna received a Danish council.
Round 60, 000 people have spend their vacation on Bulgarian Black sea coast last year, and during the upcoming season their amount is expected to reach 100, 000 people, the Danish ambassador claims.

Third great exhibition in the museum of history in Varna

Third national exhibition - “Bulgarian treasures – Gods, Masks, Humans” will be opened at 4 p.m. in the regional museum of history in Varna. The minister of culture, Stefan Danailov is expected as an official guest of the event.

More than 20 Bulgarian cellars will take part at the first issue of the wine and tourism expo Vinotour, which takes place in Varna from 23.04 till 26.04.2008.

Varna participates in the Romanian tourist exhibition TTR

Varna municipality will take part in the Romanian tourist exhibition TTR which takes place from 27th till 30th of March in Bucharest. The sea capital of Bulgaria will be represented as a candidate for the European Capital of Culture in 2019. The exhibition stand spreads on 12 square metres. Pictures of the landmarks in Varna will be mounted on the walls of the stand. The museums in Varna will be represented too.

900 M EUR for Development of Bulgaria Rural Tourism

Three of the measures under the Program for rural development - “Diversification of the non-agricultural activities”, “Support for the creation of micro-enterprises” and “Promotion of tourist activities” were presented within the 'Tourism and Leisure Fair' in Varna.

Their total budget for this year is 900 M EUR. The first measure supports rural tourism, local crafts, infrastructure projects and all investments not connected to agriculture.

Tourism and Leisure Fair Starts in Varna

The 31st Tourism and Leisure Fair starts today in the Bulgarian sea capital Varna.

The event will continue till February 15, informed radio Varna.

During the exhibition, which will be held in the Palace of culture and sport, companies supplying equipment for hotels and restaurants will be presented.

250,000 Russians Expected to Visit Bulgaria in Summer

Round 250,000 Russians are expected to visit Bulgaria during the coming summer season.
This was informed by the consul general of the Russian federation in Varna city Anatolii Shtelkunov, quoted by the Standart daily.
According to his words the number of the Russian holiday makers is increasing every year. In 2007 their number reached 200,000 people.
