Varna Presented on Berlin Tourism Market Expo

Varna will be presented with its own stand on the tourism market expo in Berlin, which will conduct from March 5 -9.
The Berlin Expo is the most significant tourist forum in world wide range, addressed as to professionals, so for the mass audience.

The mayor of Varna Kiril Yordanov will leave for German capital to attend personally the opening of Varna stand on the expo.

900 M EUR for Development of Bulgaria Rural Tourism

Three of the measures under the Program for rural development - “Diversification of the non-agricultural activities”, “Support for the creation of micro-enterprises” and “Promotion of tourist activities” were presented within the 'Tourism and Leisure Fair' in Varna.

Their total budget for this year is 900 M EUR. The first measure supports rural tourism, local crafts, infrastructure projects and all investments not connected to agriculture.

Tourism and Leisure Fair Starts in Varna

The 31st Tourism and Leisure Fair starts today in the Bulgarian sea capital Varna.

The event will continue till February 15, informed radio Varna.

During the exhibition, which will be held in the Palace of culture and sport, companies supplying equipment for hotels and restaurants will be presented.

The first day starts with wine presentation. A project for a National strategy for sustainable development of tourism in Bulgaria 2008-2013 will also be presented.

250,000 Russians Expected to Visit Bulgaria in Summer

Round 250,000 Russians are expected to visit Bulgaria during the coming summer season.
This was informed by the consul general of the Russian federation in Varna city Anatolii Shtelkunov, quoted by the Standart daily.
According to his words the number of the Russian holiday makers is increasing every year. In 2007 their number reached 200,000 people.
